  • Newcomb Chamber has their monthly meeting this Tuesday, September 29th 6:30 pm at Fire Hall 
  • The Newcomb Foreign Affairs Roundtable Presents "China--Its People and Culture" Featuring Dr. Mao Chen, Professor of Chinese Languages and Studies, Skidmore College Thursday, October 29, 2015, 7:00 pm, High School Library, NSC All Welcome
  • Flu shots are now available at the Health Center, please call for appointment.  
  • St Barbara's new time 11 AM Sunday, come Meet the new Deacon, Vicar John  
  • Don't forget to support the local teams; plenty of girls and boys soccer to enjoy! 
  • Sunday services 9:00 am at the Newcomb United Methodist Church. All are welcome!

The Newcomb Mt. Quilters wish to thank everyone who supported our craft fair and quilt raffle. The winner of the quilt was a family member of Bob and Cheryl Patterson. With your support we can continue to help those in need in our community, the Domestic Violence Shelter and other charities and organizations. 

The Newcomb Central School Class of 2016 would like to thank everyone that helped support their fundraising events over TR weekend. We may have run out of bison burgers at that Saturday night dinner, but you can grill some for yourself! Find them at the Adirondack Buffalo Farm on the Blue Ridge Road.


Not Forgotten
NEWCOMB | William J. McSpedon, 87, passed away of natural causes Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015. He passed away with the firm belief that he was a lucky man to have lived a fulfilling life.

DEC Launches Initiative to Develop Unique Lodging Network to Connect Communities in the Adirondacks

Lodging ties to Multi-use Trail That Will Connect Visitors to Adirondacks' Vast Natural Resources

New York is launching a new initiative to create a multiple use "Hut-to-Hut" recreation trail system that will directly link lodging and other local visitor amenities with public lands within the 'Upper Hudson Recreation Hub' of the Adirondacks, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Acting Commissioner Marc Gerstman announced today. This area encompasses the 5 towns in the heart of the Adirondack Park, including Newcomb, Minerva, Indian Lake, Long Lake and North Hudson. Read more...
