Pete Bush of Newcomb,
a WWII vet, is being honored in Washington, DC. On Friday October 16
we've been asked line his travel path as he begins his trip. Pete is
expected to pass through Newcomb, along Route 28N about 2 pm. NCS students will be out lining the road at the school. Join the tribute, bring your flag, a message, line Route 28N and honor one of the "Greatest Generation" as Pete passes by.
Chamber meeting Oct 20th at the Fire Hall at 6:30pm.
Holiday craft fair preparations have begun. The event is November 21st 9a-4p and 22nd 10a-3p at the Fire Hall. Table setups will be Friday afternoon. Call Bunny Columbus if you would like to be a vendor or can help in any fashion.
Operation Christmas Child
Isabelle Bureau is organizing a bake sale to benefit the Newcomb United Methodist Church's Operation Christmas Child. The bake sale will be held at the Newcomb Church 9am-noon, October 24th. If you would like to donate baked goods call Isabelle Bureau, or make sure you bring your cash and check out the bake sale on October 24th!
ST Barbara's Episcopal church is also back to it's normal schedule of 11:00 AM on Sundays. They recently welcomed a new Deacon Vicar, John Cairns who has moved to the area with his wife Nancy. Come and meet them and stay for coffee!
