Congratulations! 

The following students from around the area were named Commended Students in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program: Timothy Ryan of Ticonderoga; Meghan O’Donnell of Newcomb; and Richard M. Custodio of Lake George.

A letter of commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corp., which conducts the program, were presented to the students.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are recognized for their exceptional academic promise. They placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2016 competition by taking the 2014 PSAT.
